Hayama Compound in Kanagawa,Japan

The project “Hayama Compound Housing” designed and supervised by Community Housing Ltd. has been awarded the prize for excellence in environmental design of the Environment Friendly Housing Design Award (EFHDA) 2012.

The competition organized by the Tokyo Gas Co. gathered 193 entries this year. Its aim is to foster excellence in environmental housing design.
A symposium with the jury and winner teams will be held next February 21st. at the Living Design Center OZONE 3F Park Tower Hall in Shinjuku. An exhibition of the winner projects will be held from March 8-20 2012 at the same place.

このたび、弊社が企画、設計いたしました「葉山コンパウンド・ハウジング」が、日本エンバイロケミカルズ株式会社主催の「第４回木質建築空間デザインコンテスト」住宅部門・部門賞を受賞いたしました。（詳しくは、ここをご覧ください）

このコンテストは、木を効果的に使用し豊かな建築空間を生み出した作品を表彰するものです。木質の仕上げに木材保護塗料を使用し、木の機能を高めた良質な建築作品が応募の条件でした。

「葉山コンパウンド・ハウジング」では、葉山で伝統的に用いられてきた杉板を外壁に採用しています。隣接する森山神社から見た景観および保存した参道側の樹木に配慮した建物の配置、コンパウンド形式とすることで統一感のある外観をうみ出すと同時に、屋外空間を居住者が共有でき、豊かな生活環境を実現したことが評価されました。現在、１期工事（オーナー別荘１棟、賃貸テラスハウス２棟４戸）が完成し、１年後に２期工事の建設が予定されています。

The project “Hayama Compound Housing” designed and supervised by Comunity Housing Ltd. has been awarded the design prize in the 4th Wooden Architectural Space Design Competition, under the housing category.

The competition organized by the magazine Nikkei Architecture and sponsored by Japan Envirochemicals gathered 477 entries in total and 292 entries for the housing category. Its aim is to foster excellence in the design of wooden architecture and interiors.
